Holiday Season Family Gatherings – Capturing Moments That Matter - 2025

The holiday season in December and January is always one of my favourite times of the year to photograph families. There’s something truly special about this period — families reuniting after months or even years apart, loved ones travelling interstate and overseas, and everyone finally coming together to celebrate, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.

Every year, I meet families who have made their holiday catch-ups a priority. Grandparents meeting new grandchildren for the first time, cousins reconnecting after long distances, siblings finally in the same place again — these moments are priceless, and they deserve to be remembered.

I absolutely love capturing these gatherings. The laughter, the hugs, the stories being shared, the children playing together, and the quiet moments between generations all tell a beautiful story.
